The Bay of Biscay, located in the Atlantic Ocean between Spain and France, can be challenging due to its reputation for strong winds, high waves, and sudden weather changes. It is often considered one of the toughest sailing areas in the world. Additionally, the tidal currents in the area can be strong, and there are many underwater hazards, such as rocks and reefs, that sailor must be aware of.
